3D printed flooded city aquascape

Scroll

I felt inspired to build a micro cityscape into a fish tank.

Normally I would start with pencil sketches, but for this I started building the scape directly in CAD. This was the finished design.

I incorporated a chamber for the heater and the filter. The water is drawn in through the windows, filtered, heated then expelled through a large window in the building next door, keeping all the workings out of view.

I built the tank in the 3D space too, just to check everything fitted before I committed to 3D printing all the parts.

56 hours of printing later,

now the fun bit can start.
